Cerridwen:
Transformation and Inspiration
Ancient Spiritstm sells hand-made porcelain pendant jewellery decorated in astrological
themes and Celtic motifs. Welcome to the pages for our Celtic motif jewellery!
Cauldrons in Celtic myths are symbols of inspiration and divine knowledge as well as sources
of transformation and spiritual rebirth. As no distinct boundaries existed between human and
animal form, deities, mortals and animals alike could all shape-shift. Cerridwen, keeper
of the cauldron, was goddess of transformation, overseeing this metamorphosis and offering
guidance and spiritual renewal at crucial junctures on life's journey. The immortality of the Celtic
soul allowed for rebirth both on a worldly and spiritual level. Cerridwen's cauldron was also
a cornucopia, providing abundance to the earth and inspiration for the bard. The boar -- a symbol
of wealth, hospitality and feasting -- was the totem animal for Cerridwen.
