Zane B. Stein has been a professional astrologer since 1971. In 1977 he spearheaded the committee that led to the world's first Chiron ephemeris. In 1978 he organized the Association for Studying Chiron, which soon became an international organization for collecting and collating astrological and astronomical research on Chiron. While head of the A.S.C., he published a newsletter, The Key, which included contributions from astrologers the world over. He has spoken on Chiron in many part of the U.S.A., Canada, England, Scotland and Ireland.
