22 Mar ~~ 25 Mar |
Inner release. Freedom. Prometheus unbound. Intransigent Water has held the world in its icy grip for far too long already. Now we can look for the Spring thaw. Pent up energies are vented, but the result is not always pretty. These are days of crisis: revolts, riots, coups d'état and other expressions of displeasure. Political intimidation over these days will have strong ideological overtones to it. Disproportion -- a feeling of senseless loss or pointless destruction.Weather: a pulse of warmer weather can be expected through these days. Strong winds will cause much damage.
The Fulfilment:
Canada: Québec: Five cultists of the Solar Temple die by arson in their home. Three teen-aged children of the group escape by hiding in a nearby shed. They were drugged, but not torched. "Disproportion -- a feeling of senseless loss or pointless destruction." At last, someone *did* keep the children safe ....
Albania: Coalition government is already saying June may be too soon for elections if anarchy does not subside.
Italy: Rome: About 150000 union labourers and the unemployed march to demand more jobs and job creation help. "Pent up energies are vented, but the result is not always pretty. These are days of crisis: revolts, riots, coups d'état and other expressions of displeasure."
Poland: Parliament approves a new constitution today, enshrining capitalism as nation's economic foundation. Now the President and the public (by referendum) must study it and vote on it in the coming weeks. "Inner release."
Europa: Helsinki: Summit ends, but as always a surprise from Yeltsin -- Russia wants to join the EU as soon as its economic health will permit. "Inner release."
Israel: Hebron: Palestinian people are showing signs of rebelling once more. They attack Israeli troops and their own security police have trouble holding them back. "Pent up energies are vented, but the result is not always pretty. These are days of crisis: revolts, riots, coups d'état and other expressions of displeasure."
Taiwan: Dalai Lama arrives for a prolonged state visit. China is infuriated by this visit of a leader without a country to a country that does not exist! Imagine getting that upset over "nothing"!! :-) But this is also an excellent example of "Inner release" and "the Spring thaw" as this man and this nation transcend the limitations set upon them in the past by their mutual antagonist -- China. The man whom China does not want any nation to welcome is welcomed on a visit to the nation that China does not want anyone to visit. "Political intimidation over these days will have strong ideological overtones to it." Ha!!
Nigeria: Tribal protesters strike at their government by seizing 126 foreign Shell Oil workers as hostages. It is a local dispute having nothing to do with Shell, but they were vulnerable targets. "Pent up energies are vented, but the result is not always pretty. These are days of crisis: revolts, riots, coups d'état and other expressions of displeasure."
USA: California: It is thought that the mass suicide at Rancho Santa Fe began either today or last night. "Disproportion -- a feeling of senseless loss or pointless destruction." This was Metal over Wood; take a look at all the Metal sign days of this season, like this one for example, and what do I say? "Keep the children safe, for they are the embodiment of the new life of spring." Why do I say this? -- because Metal over Wood hacks down the Wood and kills it. The Dunblane massacre of 1996 happened in March on just such a day. Here we had a little repetition of that combination in the charts with big consequences, and I failed to speak out on it. Sigh ....
Belarus: Government expels an American diplomat for taking part in an anti-govt protest. USA will likely retaliate somehow. "Political intimidation over these days will have strong ideological overtones to it."
Pakistan: Summit of leaders of Islamic states meets this weekend to focus on what to do about Israel.
Papua New Guinea: Public opinion is not letting Sir Julius off the hook just yet and calls are still growing for his resignation.
Papua New Guinea: Full constitutional crisis as several Cabinet ministers resign and the Governor-General asks the PM to resign. "Pent up energies are vented, but the result is not always pretty. These are days of crisis: revolts, riots, coups d'état and other expressions of displeasure. Political intimidation"
Taiwan: Wholesale slaughter of the nation's pig herds begins today after an epidemic of hoof and mouth disease was discovered last week -- 19 of 23 counties are affected. "Disproportion -- a feeling of senseless loss or pointless destruction."
Sri Lanka: Tamil rebels attack government navy at Mullaittivu, but lose badly with at least 100 dead. "Pent up energies are vented, but the result is not always pretty. These are days of crisis: revolts, riots, coups d'état and other expressions of displeasure."
Israel: Palestinian police intervene to quash the violence in Hebron, but new violence breaks out at Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem. "Pent up energies are vented, but the result is not always pretty. These are days of crisis: revolts, riots, coups d'état and other expressions of displeasure."
Australia: Parliament repeals euthanasia law today, after almost a year passes by with only four people opting for it.
Zaire: PM Kengo resigns today, after Mobutu withdrew his support. Parliament had already voted to oust him last week, but he refused to take the hint ... Inner release and freedom from past constraints.
USA: Florida: Prisoner executed in the electric chair bursts into flames around his head, upsetting many people who believe in more humane forms of execution. "Disproportion -- a feeling of senseless loss or pointless destruction."
Europa: Today is the fortieth anniversary of the Treaty of Rome that set up the foundation for European Union.
Germany: Abolut 20000 labourers protest and attack banks in Frankfurt for their role in assisting large corporations in economic restructuring that costs jobs. "Pent up energies are vented, but the result is not always pretty. These are days of crisis: revolts, riots, coups d'état and other expressions of displeasure."
Colombia: Prison riot by about 800 inmates began late last night and was suppressed by dawn. "Pent up energies are vented, but the result is not always pretty. These are days of crisis: revolts, riots, coups d'état and other expressions of displeasure."
Papua New Guinea: PM Chan survives a non-confidence vote in Parliament, but hundreds of people and soldiers surround Parliament to jeer and throw rocks. Soldiers blockade buildings and inspect cars at gunpoint to make sure no MPs leave. "Pent up energies are vented, but the result is not always pretty. These are days of crisis: revolts, riots, coups d'état and other expressions of displeasure. Political intimidation"
Zaire: Mobutu asks his Parliament to name a committee of seven MPs to open negotiations with rebels.
South Africa: A dozen Inkatha Zulus convicted for murder in deaths of almost 20 ANC rivals in a massacre two years ago.
