Conquest. The birthright is seized. The forcible invasion and occupation of territory will have been achieved by the end of these days. It may be large or it may be fairly tame, but it will happen.Eruptions. Storms. Coups d'état. Revolts. Crisis. An assault on the Citadel. Power is claimed and used by those who know not their own strength. Things taken by suddenness and not by stealth. The coming of something new. A time for bold action.
The Fulfilment:
World: NASA announces that a Martian meteorite recovered in Antarctica has revealed traces of fossilised Martian life, microbial but visible. "The coming of something new." I just love it when non-terrestrial events move with the Tao! ... Now compare this with entry 4a --- the discovery of the unique genetic structure of Archeons.
Russia: Chechnya: Rebels have seized even the centre of Grozny and the govt troops are losing badly. This is their biggest offensive all year. "The forcible invasion and occupation of territory will have been achieved by the end of these days." We must watch Russia very carefully over the coming weeks. Something has started here and it will grow -- remember that the revolution is coming in September. Something that has not budged for a long time will give way and be transformed. But this will be a revolution of structure and not of chaos.
Balkans: Serbia and Croatia sign a preliminary treaty of mutual recognition.
Argentina: General strike to protest govt austerity measures. Interesting -- not sure how to classify this. "Revolts."??
Colombia: Peasants protesting govt plans to destroy their coca fields take revenge in destroying govt oil pipelines. "Revolts. A time for bold action."
Mexico: Judge drops murder charges against the second gunman in the trial of the Colosio assassins.
Spain: Sudden storm crests over the Pyrennees and sends flash floods into a crowded tourist trailer camp. At least 100 dead or missing. It will be days before police can comb through the wreckage. "Eruptions. Storms."
Iraq: USA at last blesses the "oil-for-food" plan worked out in May.
Israel: Israeli warplanes fly raids into the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon in revenge for attacks by Hezbollah. The Bekaa is deep into the Syrian areas. War.
UK: London: Passenger train hits freight train and derails. Some deaths and many injuries.
France: Farmers arrive in Paris with 44 tonnes of fruit and veggies to give out for free to the poor in protest against low prices. They are mobbed by 2000 people who scurry away with it in all directions. Interesting ...
Poland: Gdansk: Lech Walesa's old workplace in the shipyards goes bankrupt.
Europa: Govt formally protests new American law imposing sanctions on any company investing in Libya or Iran.
Gambia: Referendum on proposed new constitution.
Russia: Yeltsin sworn in for his second term of office. His showing at the ceremony lasts all of 16 minutes. He stumbles, lumbers and slurs words.
Russia: Chechnya: Fighting is worsening and the rebels are still in the ascendancy (as they will be until Metal comes). Govt troops pleading for ceasefire so the wounded can be evacuated.
Bosnia: Europa officials warn of massive electoral frauds being staged to skew the election demographics in the ocming elections.
UK: Ulster: Police preparing for violence this weekend as the marching season drags on. Interesting: my prediction for the weekend warns of mob violence.... Protestants march through their own areas but postpone march along city walls in the Catholic area until tomorrow. [Right: because the violence is not due until tomorrow!]
USA: Court awards $750 000 to man with lung cancer, citing the deliberate deception of the public by the tobacco companies.
Burundi: Neighbours speedily shutting down their economic and transportation links to this country as sanctions go into effect.
USA: Power outage for half an hour from California and Texas up to Alberta. Surprise!
Canada: London: Freight train derailment. Village of Kerwood evacuated.
Serbia: Man lobs grenade into festival crowd, killing one old man and maiming sixty other people.
Italy: Glacier calves high in the Alps in presence of tourist group. Tidal wave knocks ten of them over a waterfall. One little girl is killed.
